Introduction
Under the auspices of the African Chess Confederation, the Chess Federation of Zambia had the honour of inviting all African Federations affiliated to the World Chess Federation (FIDE) to participate in the 2016 African Schools Individual Chess Championships. The Championships where held at the Golden Peacock Hotel in the Roma Area of Lusaka, the capital city of the Republic of Zambia.
Dates & Venue
The Championships were held from 10 December 2016 (arrival) to 18 December 2016 (departure) in Lusaka (the capital city of Zambia) and hosted at the Golden Peacock Hotel. The playing hall was excellent. Hall was carpeted and there was ample lightning. The hall also had an excellent sound system. Seating was very comfortable and the tables used were of the required standard
